Disability Access

The Labour Party is an inclusive member-based organisation that prides itself on being accessible to all who share its values.

We are proud to have led the way in opening up our politics to ensure that all those who want to join the debate can do so.

With so many important things at stake at this election, it is more important than ever that political parties respond to the needs of voters and provide information in accessible formats.

That is why Labour’s election pledges leaflet is available in the following formats:

A better future for disabled people

Labour is determined to make Britain a country where the voices of disabled people are heard, their contribution is valued and the right to live a full and fulfilling life is made a reality for all. That is why we have worked closely with disabled people to identify the issues that most affect their lives, and developed the policies we need to address them.

This manifesto sets out our plan to continue that work in government.

This manifesto is available in the following formats:

If you require our materials in additional formats, please contact the Labour Party on campaignresources@labour.org.uk. We will do our very best to provide a version that will work for you.

We aim to ensure the availability of "alt text", a simple and clear approach to online layout and improved colour contrast. We have also facilitated the use of different browsers in a number of ways including the removal of frames from the site. Our site works well in text-only browsers and fits the criteria for people with visual impairment.

Additionally, great care is taken when designing new pages to ensure that navigation is simple, links are accurate and images are clear. We try to ensure that articles on the site are written in plain English in order that people of all ages and abilities can engage in the party's activities.

We hope that this makes the site accessible to as many users as possible but we recognise the need to continue to improve in this area.
