Councillors

Welsh Labour has a proud tradition of representation in local government.

Across Wales, Labour Councils are leading the way in transforming their communities. In other areas, Labour councillors and Labour Groups are campaigning to protect services by providing effective opposition and scrutiny.

Labour councillors know that it is only by engaging with communities that they can reflect the needs, concerns and aspirations of local people.

The next local council elections in Wales will be held in 2012. Contact Welsh Labour for more information about becoming a local candidate, how you can help in your local campaign or what you think the priorities should be for your local community.
