Every family needs a good local council. For better schools, safer streets, more affordable housing, more facilities for young people, cleaner streets, more green spaces, more flexible childcare, reliable rubbish collection and recycling services and social services that really care. Labour understand that because our starting point is the hopes of families.
Families who are going out to work and bringing up children – and caring for older relatives too. Families who want a good standard of living and for their children to get on in their lives. That’s the aim of Labour Councils and Labour councillors for everyone in every family.
Labour also understand that for many families the most important thing of all is simply paying the bills. That’s why better value for money, low interest rates and low inflation are important as well as ensuring that there are enough jobs for everyone.
Our strong economy depends on a government that is determined to provide economic stability in turbulent times and is prepared to make the right decisions. That’s what you get with Labour.
Only Labour can be relied on to share the values of the British people and to be determined to put them into practice in local councils up and down the land.
The elections on 1 May matter. Vote Labour.
