Vote Labour - Harriet Harman
This June, voters in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland vote to choose their MEPs.
In some areas people can vote too for their local councillors as well as for their town's mayor.
However many votes you have, wherever you vote, and whether you vote in your polling station or by post, you are choosing the team to face the challenge of working to take our country out of recession.
Gordon Brown has explained earlier in this document some of the things our Labour government has been doing to help many and not just a few people.
The workings of the global economy are complex, yet one thing remains simple: the choice at this election is between Labour's plans to grow our way out of global recession by investment to protect people now and to build for the future, or making cuts, as David Cameron's 'do nothing' Tories would have us do.
And Gordon Brown is leading Labour's team of MEPs, MPs, Mayors and local councillors, to work to ensure a fair and prosperous future for you and your family.
Please do use your vote. If you don't, you not only lose your right to have a say in who represents you, you also make it easier for the British National Party to get elected.
That is why I urge you to vote Labour on 4 June 2009.
Rt Hon Harriet Harman MP,
Deputy Leader of the Labour Party
