I don't think Labour should be patting itself on the back over fairness when they still actively discriminate against 525,000 British pensioners living overseas. A further 535,000 British pensioners
living overseas receive uprated pensions each year, just as if they were living in the UK. But the Labour Government continues to deny this uprating to the other 525,000 overseas pensioners based on
the country in which they live. It is even more unfair when you find out that the national Insurance Fund, which pays out all pensions, frozen or unfrozen, has a surplus of over £50 billion which is
invested with the Debt Management Office. Just 2 months interest from these invested funds each year would be enough to uprate the pensions for everyone living overseas.
