Labour wants to find the best of Britain’s new, unseen young talent to showcase at a special event in Liverpool and compete to win a work experience placement with an organisation that can help develop their passion.
So if you are between 16 and 23 years old and you’ve got a big business idea; amazing invention; community changing campaign or if you’re the next Steven Spielberg and you want to show us, then apply to Labour's Young British Talent Showcase today.
Two entries from each of the following categories will be chosen to present to a panel of judges and a live audience.
If you’d prefer just to watch then register here Friends and families are also welcome but must also register.
The categories are:
• Making a difference to the world around you: If you've helped change your community for the better or done something spectacular to help others then we want to hear your story.
• Creativity, Media and the Arts: Are you an outstanding musician or incredible actor? Are you a film maker or writer? This is the category for you.
• Innovative ideas in business, science and technology: Come and show us how you turned your big idea or invention into a reality.
What you could win
The winners from each category performing at the live event will be selected by the panel of judges. We will job match each winner to a funded (covering accomodation, travel and a living wage) work experience placement with a top organisation relating to their talent.

Submissions should be in the following format only: word document, pdf, jpeg, gif, mov, mp4, mpeg, avi or wmv only. Your submission should give an example or description of what you would like to showcase at the live event. This can be a performance, presentation, screening of a video etc.

What happens in the live show?
Two acts from each category will present their brilliance on stage at the live event competing for a work experience placement which will help them develop their skill further. The acts chosen to perform will be selected by a panel of judges and notified on or before 9 September 2011 and further details will be given.
You can present your submission via video, audio, written word or photography.
All entrants must register by 2 September 2011 and send in an example of their talent by Friday 16 September 2011. Registration is free of charge for all entrants to this competition and their guests (friends and family) for the day of this event only.

The British Young Talent Showcase will take place 4.00 pm – 5.15pm Wednesday 28 September 2011 at The Labour Party Annual Conference in Liverpool at the ACC Kings Dock, Liverpool Waterfront, Liverpool, L3 4FP, Liverpool.
