After months of speculation David Cameron has finally reshuffled his shadow cabinet.

But while the Conservatives focus on whether George Osborne or Ken Clarke is in charge of their economic policy, Labour are focussed on actually getting the country through the downturn by ensuring that people receive the real help now that they need.

And while the Conservatives focus on what the return of Ken Clarke means for their European policy, Labour is working with countries across the globe to try to solve the downturn’s underlying global causes and allow Britain to better cope with the current difficulties.

Labour’s focus remains on giving help to people in these tough times.  But while we will act to provide real help now for families and businesses to come through the downturn sooner and stronger, David Cameron would do nothing but sit back and watch as the downturn got deeper and longer.
