  • giving every pensioner a £60 payment in January
  • increase in child benefit to £20 per week
  • increase child tax credit by £75 a year
  • more loans and deferring tax for small business
  • £2.5bn of capital projects to provide jobs right now

Letting down the promise of a generation

Iain gray 3Iain Gray has attacked the SNP for failing Scotland's young people. 

In a speech to Scottish Labour's annual youth and student conference, he said:

"The SNP have let Scotland 's young people down time and again. Alex Salmond has not just broken election promises, he is undermining the promise of the next generation."
