Mary Creagh MP, Labour’s Shadow Environment Secretary, in response to the announcement of water bills for next year, commented:
“The Tory-led Government are out of touch with families facing higher water bills, rising living costs and falling household income. With bills set to rise by as much as 8 per cent, consumers deserve to know exactly where their money is going. The Government must ensure that water companies help the growing number of people in water debt and sign up more households to special tariffs to ensure they can meet their payments."
