Douglas Alexander MP, Labour’s Shadow Foreign Secretary, responding to the expulsion of Syrian diplomats, said:
"It's right that the UK expel these Syrian diplomats in an effort to express the revulsion that is widely felt here and abroad about the Assad regime's conduct.
"But the actions so far agreed by the international community since the massacre last weekend have alas not yet matched the seriousness of the situation."
