Chris Leslie MP, Labour’s Shadow Treasury Minister, said in response to David Cameron’s comments on the Jeremy Vine Show about the £500m bonus pot at RBS:
"David Cameron says he will stop the £500m of bonuses at RBS, but he should be judged on his actions not his words. While record bonuses continue at the top and youth unemployment soars to almost a million, Labour says the Government should repeat the bank bonus tax. The funds raised should be used to help get our flatlining economy moving again by building thousands more affordable homes and guaranteeing 100,000 jobs for young people."
