Prosperity and work policy commission
Introduction
The Prosperity and Work policy commission considers Labour’s policy and thinking on the economy and welfare. It considers current issues ranging from pensions reform, to rights at work, to how Britain should compete in an increasingly globalised economy.
The commission takes evidence and advice from a wide range of stakeholders and affiliated organisations to consider policies that will build a stronger economy and a fairer society.
The policy commission has two main roles. As part of the policy development process the commission engages with local Labour parties, Labour’s affiliates and local communities in producing consultation and policy documents. The second main role is to discuss current issues, submissions from the public, the work of government and to give feedback to party members and affiliates. For more information about the role of the Policy Commission, look at our pages on the Partnership in Power institutions – here.
