Gareth is a well known in East Devon for his campaigns on local issues ranging from controversial planning applications to failure to invest in education. He is delighted to have the opportunity to become Labour MP for the constituency at the next General Election.

Gareth has taught from nursery to adults, in the public and private sectors, in mainstream and in special schools, and in this country and abroad. His conspicuous record of measurable success as both a teacher and a leader shows that he processes the qualities necessary to deliver for local people.

Gareth has worked on several bids for the BBC Jam online curriculum, had a creative piece performed at The Tobacco Factory in Bristol and assisted the RCA and Tesco with a carbon trading project.

East Devon constituency will be radically changed at the next General Election. It will contain Exmouth, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Ottery St Mary, Topsham, St Loyes and Broadclyst West Hill, Whimple and Clyst St Mary.

Gareth, a former local councillor, is currently employed by the Hospital Education Service. He is married to Diana and has a dog and a cat.
