Guaranteed Interview Scheme
As users of the disability symbol, the Labour Party guarantees to interview anyone with a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the post. By “minimum criteria” we mean that you must demonstrate in your application that you are able to meet the essential qualifications, skills and experiences as defined by the advertised posts Person Specification.
Defining Disability
The Labour Party adheres to the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act, whose definition of a disabled person is an individual who “has a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities”.
