Role: Political Adviser to Shadow London Minister, Rt. Hon Sadiq Khan MP
Salary: Dependent on experience
Fixed term contract until the next general election
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Shadow London Minister, Sadiq Khan MP and the London Region Party.
You should have a good understanding of the Labour Party, and knowledge of the London political landscape. You will be expected to build relationships with key figures in Westminster, the Greater London Assembly, individual boroughs across the city and our MEPs.
With a background and expertise in press and communications, you will support London Region and the Shadow Minister for London in providing media, policy and political advice and support to the Shadow London team.
You’ll have excellent communication skills with experience of writing articles and contributions for various media. You will also be skilled at building networks across the media and have significant experience of stakeholder management at a senior level.
You should have the ability to manage competing priorities and ideally will have some experience of working in parliament or politics. You must also be an excellent team player and be prepared to work closely with Mr Khan’s Shadow London team and the London Region Party.
