Role: Payroll Assistant

Salary: £10,548.12 per annum, plus an annual fixed sum allowance of £214.80

Working pattern: 3 days per week

Location: Newcastle Head Office

Duration: Fixed-term contract for 1 year

 

Reporting into the Payroll and Pensions Manager, the post-holder with play an important role in assisting with the administration of four monthly payrolls and with the Labour Party Pension Scheme.  

 

The successful candidate will have a high level of attention to detail with experience of working to tight deadlines. Previous payroll experience is desirable but not essential. The post holder will have excellent numerical skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Role: Policy Officer – Communities

Salary: £32,996.96 (gross) per annum, plus an annual fixed sum allowance of £971

Location: Brewer’s Green, London

Duration: Fixed term contract until one month after the next General Election

 

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Policy Officer - Communities. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with The Labour Party’s co-ordinated approach to policy research, development and liaison, with specific responsibility for policy on transport, local government, housing and culture, media and sport. 

 

The post-holder will support the relevant Shadow Ministers and the Leader of the Labour Party, provide research on the implications of Government policies, draft publications for internal and external stakeholders in support of The Labour Party’s work as the official opposition, and take responsibility for servicing the Party’s policy making institutions and processes, including managing relevant policy commissions.

 

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the relevant policy areas, substantive experience of policy and political research, and excellent political judgement.
