Make a difference

On 20 January, Barack Obama will be inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States of America. The nature of Obama’s campaign was ground-breaking.

He won not just an election, but the time, commitment and generosity of individuals who believed that every small action they took would be echoed by thousands of others many times over. He also won the trust and hope of many others who had previously believed that they had no say, or no stake, in the outcome of a general election. People united in the belief that politics can make a difference, and that together they could make that change happen.

This spirit of committmen, of wanting to make a difference, has also been felt here in the UK. Over the past weeks and months since the US election there has been an increase in the number of people deciding it is the right time to join the Labour Party and become more engaged in politics.

You can. Make a difference and join Labour today.

In these tough economic times, Labour is working to ensure Britain remains prosperous and secure for the many not the few.

Each and every day we are taking action to give real help to families and local businesses.

We will not abandon people in these tough times - unlike the Tories who would turn their backs on families and businesses at the time they need it most.

This is the choice facing Britain - strong, substantial leadership and a fair deal with Labour versus shallow salesmanship, and inexperience from the Tories who are out of touch, and offering no help, for hard-working people.

Help us win the fight for Britain’s future.

Help us make a difference.

Join Labour today.
