Pat, Excellent idea and policy from Labour. "It is vital we boost awareness of employment rights and ensure those rights are properly enforced. There should be no hiding place for employers who exploit vulnerable workers and who are not prepared to obey the law" Can we please start with some of the public services and cut/save millions and millions of taxpayers money in poor, non cost effective, incompetently run, nepotism focused, managerial weberian bureaucracy. This would be a good vote winner for labour supporters prior to the next election. Please Listen!

Employment rights should be on every workers agenda. Unfortunately, many are completely unaware of changes in employment law from the bad tory days. I have knowledge of an issue at a local, large company that has it's working rights set firmly in the 1970's. Complaints about individuals sexist, physical, and utter discriminatory behaviour to management are met by complete inaction and no reply to written complaint. It has even been remarked the individual must have caused the situation(s). The laws are there to ensure equality. What is wrong is the sickly, clicky, nepotism in management circles. From my personal experience The larger the company the more discriminatory. Every business should be made to accept Trade Unions to ensure fairness at work.
