"I thought I’d take a moment to share my thoughts with you on our Labour Government’s Budget.
"Today’s Budget was steady, responsible and all the while ensuring continuing economic stability.
"The things that stood out for me was the extra help given to pensioners this year to help pay energy bills and the measures to help abolish child poverty.
"These will make a huge difference in my constituency and for the UK as a whole.
"Labour has always ensured that today’s pensioners are better off and ending child poverty has been a historic mission for the Labour Party.
"The Budget today made no exception on these two important issues."
