The international community has to send a clearer and more united message to President Assad - Douglas Alexander

Douglas Alexander
Douglas Alexander MP, Labour's Shadow Foreign Secretary,
responding to the ongoing reports of violence in Syria, said:

“Given the continuing appalling violence in Syria, the international community has to send a clearer and more united message to President Assad that these attacks on his own people lack any justification.  In New York, Britain must continue to press strongly for a UN resolution while also looking at what more steps can be taken at the European level to signal the international community’s revulsion at this violent repression.”
