I am quite a young voter and i find this type of politics to be a waste of our goverments time(Pointing fingers). When i was younger, i was unaware of the conservatives and anything to do with
politics so how anybody other than labour affect my world is completely immaterial to me - yet, this seems to be what people choose to hold on to. Labour are in POWER now and its how labour uses this
power that will get them votes. This article focuses in on one council, but out of how many. Do something about it and make things better rather than just pointing fingers at other parties.

The interesting point is about the hard working families. In Preston city, the Lib Dems are in a coalition with the Tories. They recently backed a budget to cut safety standards in children's play
areas and remove creche facilities (and with it the staff) at leisure centres. These guys are not on the side of families.

In Derby Labour are in alliance with the Conservatives. They are cutting care for the elderly and closing sports facilities. Only the Liberal Democrats in Derby are opposing this right-wing
Labour/Tory coalition.

It is quite untrue to say that, in Derby, care for the elderly is being cut. Since Labour took control the Home Care service was expanded and charges for Home Care abolished. Even with the present
coalition Council Home Care provision has been maintained. It is proposed to close one Elderly Persons' Home, because there are an unacceptable level of vacancies in Care Homes in the City, but after
the closure (which will not be done with unseemly haste - alternative arrangements will be carefully made for any remaining residents) the money saved will be used to open and improve other Care
facilities to provide Extra Care housing for Derby, which is the preferred Care provision for the generation now approaching the critical age. Hands up everyone who wants to spend their last years in
a Care Home!

I think the liberals will to busy over the next months sorting out who is going to be the next leader, so in the meantime , we should tell the toryies there is not much point in their getting elected
because there is nothing for them to do as the screwed up the Steel industry the last time they were in AS WELL AS shutting down the coal industry, selling off the water industry ,selling off the
british Telicom industry , selling off the British rail industry (or shall I say giving it away )wasting all the money from the NORTH SEA oil and gas industries on paying out dole money to the
mountain of unemployed people they created, and lets not forget the mess they made of the health service education service THE HOUSING MARKET DIDN'T THE TORIES SCRAP MIRAS,LAPR, APRENTICESHIPS ,CADET
NURSES,HOSPITAL MATRONS,HOSPITAL CLEANERS, AND LETS NOT FORGET THE £10 BILLION ERM ESCAPADE!! I think there are a lot of voters out there who are suffering from loss of memory INCLUDING MR CAMERON ,
or was he out riding his byke for 18 years. Its time to remind he voters AGIAN just what did go on from 1979 to 1997.
