Health policy commission
Introduction
The Health Policy Commission is concerned with Labour’s policy direction and thinking on health. It considers current issues, including investment in and reform of the National Health Service, developing the quality of service and patient experience in the NHS, improving public health and reforming social care.
The policy commission has two main roles. As part of the policy development process, the commission engages with local Labour parties, Labour’s affiliates and local communities in producing consultation and policy documents. The other main role is to discuss current issues, the work of government, and submissions from the public; and to feed back to party members and affiliates. For more information about the role of the Policy Commission, look at our pages on the Partnership in Power institutions – here.
