The Socialist Group is the second largest group in the European Parliament. The group has 201 Members from 23 countries. The European Parliamentary Labour Party is a member of the Socialist Group. The Group President is Martin Schultz MEP. The Group's activities are co-ordinated by the Bureau, which comprises the Group President, seven Vice Presidents and the Treasurer. The group is served by a secretariat based in the European Parliament.
