Jon Trickett MP, Labour's Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office, responding to Nick Clegg's Business Compact announcement on social mobility today, said:
“It's a bit rich for Nick Clegg to talk about social mobility when youth unemployment is over a million. The reality is that he's propping up a Tory-led Government that's holding back the life chances of a whole generation of young people.
"This Government's choices - abolishing the Future Jobs Fund, trebling tuition fees and scrapping EMA - tell you all you need to know about their priorities."
