Stephen Twigg MP, Labour's Shadow Education Secretary, responding to the Education Foundation's #OpenEducation project highlighting the growing crisis of primary school places in London, today said:
"It is welcome that the Education Foundation has taken the initiative on the issue of the primary school places crisis in the capital. Labour’s calls to address this crisis have fallen on deaf ears in the Tory-led Government. I have been asking the Education Secretary for months when he is going to take action to address the shortage of places.
"Instead of being sidetracked by his pet projects, Michael Gove should get a grip to make sure that there are enough high quality primary places for every child."
