The ‘fringe’ is the term used for the many individual events that take place around the main Conference. Hundreds of organisations host a range of events including seminars, debates, workshops and receptions across the Conference site and the host city.
With a record number of fringe events at Conference 2012, fringe events are proving a very popular way to get your message across at Conference.
It's a great opportunity for organisations to reach a wide audience. Conference delegates, commercial visitors, MPs and other key decision makers make for lively and dynamic discussion on a huge range of topics.
Booking your event directly through the Labour Party enables you to take advantage of a full fringe package including:
> Maximum impact by holding your event inside the Conference zone
> Complimentary passes to Conference
> Discounted fringe listings
> AV and on-site support service
> Priority advertising slots
> Full-service Conference Services team to provide advice and support every step of the way
HOW DO I ARRANGE A FRINGE EVENT?
1. Book a space
Organising a fringe event is straightforward. Once you have an idea of the style of event, target audience and logistical details - such preferred day and time - you can submit an online fringe request form. Space in the Conference zone is always in high demand so we recommend you submit your fringe requests as soon as possible.
We are also able to offer fringe space outside the main Conference zone.
Please note: the deadline for booking events is 1st March 2013. If you still want to hold fringe events after this date, please contact Conference Services on 0845 092 3311.
2. Order your requirements
Once your space is confirmed, we can help you organise all aspects of your event and successfully promote it. If you have booked space with us, you will receive via email a link to book all your additional fringe requirements such as listings and audio visual equipment (AV). If you haven't booked space with us, call Conference Services to discuss any other ways we can assist with your event.
3. Advertise and promote
Whether you have booked your space with us or directly with an external venue, you may be interested in the many advertising opportunities available to promote fringe events before and during conference, including:
> Listings in the Conference Magazine
> Larger adverts in the Conference Magazine
> Listings on our Conference website
> Listings and advertising on the Conference app
> ‘Featured event’ adverts on our Conference website
> Banner adverts on our websites
> Poster and other promotion opportunities on the conference site
