Harriet Harman MP, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, commenting after Nick Clegg’s appearance at the Liberal Democrat Spring Conference this afternoon, said:
"Nick Clegg can talk all he likes - it is his actions he will be judged on. No one should forget his record of broken promises and betrayal of principles.
"Trebling tuition fees despite promising not to; increasing VAT after campaigning against it; axing thousands of nurses and police; and supporting a failed economic plan - this is the Liberal Democrat record. Nick Clegg and his party have propped up David Cameron's Tory-led Government and this is what people will judge them on."
