Typical that Cameron thinks his only problem with women is spin and presentation. He is out of touch - Cooper

Yvette Cooper MP, Labour's Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, responding to David Cameron's comments on women, said:

"It is typical that David Cameron thinks his only problem with women is spin and presentation. He is out of touch and still clearly doesn't get it. Women are angry about what the government is doing, not what it is saying. Women are still being hit twice as hard as men, facing record levels of unemployment, major cuts to child care support and women in their fifties face a £5,000 raid on their pensions.

"Unless David Cameron stops policies hitting women so much harder, this "apology" is little more than a polite version of "calm down dear." He needs to change policy and apologise for what he has been doing not just what he's been saying."
