Ed Miliband MP, Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Party, on a campaign visit with Imran Hussain, Labour's Candidate in the Bradford West by-election, met with a group of pensioners today before taking part in an open question and answer session at Bradford University.
Ed Miliband said:
"This is a chance for the people of Bradford West to deliver a verdict on a Budget which will force millions to pay more so that millionaires can pay less.
"It is becoming clearer by the day that George Osborne and David Cameron are making a terrible attack on pensioners with a new stealth tax.
"That is why this Conservative-led Government rushed out its plans for minimum alcohol pricing last night.
"This issue of low priced alcohol in supermarkets is worth taking up. But it should not be used to distract attention from the real issue of this week: a disastrous Budget for millionaires - a Budget which will hurt pensioners, families and hard-pressed working people."
