Douglas Alexander MP, Labour's Shadow Foreign Secretary, said:
"Today's reports of a massacre in Darayya are a horrific testament to the scale of the terror unfolding in Syria. The harrowing images of scores of dead bodies serve as a brutal reminder of the tragic cost of the failure to resolve this conflict.
"The international community must not wait for further evidence before renewing its efforts to try and bring this violence to an end. The people of Syria have suffered too long."
